Workers are welcome to serve for one week or multiple sessions, depending on their availability. Every role—whether during setup, camp weeks, or teardown—is vital to making Camp AN possible.
Kid’s Camp
Kid’s Camp (ages 9–12) is full of energy, laughter, and discovery! From the moment the boats pull up and campers race to greet familiar workers with hugs, excitement fills the air. Campers settle into the newly built dorms, meet their group coach, and set out to explore all that camp has to offer—swimming, basketball, volleyball, crafts, and more.
Designed just for their age, Kid’s Camp blends fun and fellowship with meaningful ministry. Each child receives a Bible, learns songs that celebrate God’s love, and hears lessons they can understand and apply. Of course, mealtimes are legendary—our cooks keep up with endless appetites and the cheers for “seconds!” And for a special treat, campers love visiting the Moose Canteen for snacks, candy, and cold drinks between activities.
By the last day, campers leave with new friends, autographs, and memories—but most importantly, a deeper, personal knowledge of God and His love for them.
Teen Camp
If Kid’s Camp is exciting, Teen Camp is off the charts! Many of these teens grew up at Camp AN, while others are experiencing it for the first time—but all quickly find friends, fun, and faith. They settle into the dorms, meet their coaches, and jump into action: swimming, basketball, volleyball, and late-night laughs. And yes, they can eat—meals are a highlight, with plenty of food and seconds to keep up with their energy!
Spiritual life is at the core of Teen Camp. Mornings start with devotions, evenings end with powerful services filled with worship, God’s Word, and altar times where lives are forever changed. Many who once came as campers are now serving in ministry across Alaska’s villages.
Of course, no week is complete without visits to the Moose Canteen for candy bars, sodas, and snacks with friends. On the final day, teens head back to the boats with hugs, tears, swapped numbers, and a promise to return—closer to each other, and closer to God.
Family Night
The last evening of Teen Camp is always special—Family Night. Families from nearby villages gather at camp to share a hearty meal, worship together, and celebrate God’s presence. The service overflows with congregational singing and special music, sometimes in Yupik, sometimes in English, but always lifting up the same Savior.
Testimonies are shared, God’s Word is preached, and lives are touched around the altar. Afterward, there’s time to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and experience the joy of Christian fellowship in the heart of the Yukon Delta.
